ASP.NET website connecting to Oracle

How to build the asp.net website from 32 bit machine (Windows XP prof) and deploy it to windows 2003  ( 64 bit) server.

Connecting to Oracle works fine from devlopment machine (windiows 32) but it doesn't work under windows 2003 server (64 bit server)

Just want to grab table simple table data and display on webgrid.

So you are looking for Oracle Provider for OLE DB.

From here you install it on the server:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/windows/downloads/index-090165.html

Here it is how to create connection string (the one with OraOLEDB.Oracle):
http://www.connectionstrings.com/oracle

Here is how to use it in .NET:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28844/using_aspnt.htm

My connection string in my .NET application running on 64-bit is:
Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;Password=pass;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=user;Data Source=data_source

Where data_source is defined in tnsnames.ora

Is oracle client (32 bits) installed on the server, are you using the right provider?
On 32 bits there are 2 providers for Oracle one built by Microsoft and one built by Oracle. For 64 bits the is only one, from Oracle as Microsoft didn't develop his one for this platform.
