HP Server RAID

I have a HP DL 380 G3 server running the server 2003 sp2 operating system. I configure RAID 5 for redundancy but I am getting the following message in the HP Array manager

"732 A firmware update is recommended for the controller, Smart Array 5i in Embedded Slot, to prevent rare potential data write errors on a RAID 1 or RAID 1+0 volume in a scenario of concurrent background surface analysis and I/O write operations. Please refer to Customer Advisory c01587778 which can be found at hp.com.  "

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Do you know if the firmware on the RAID controller is up to date?  You should be able to get the most current firmware from HP's website, which should confirm what version is most recent.

Don't waste your time just updating the array controller firmware.

Download the latest Firmware CD and burn it, then boot from it to upgrade all the components in the server.
