In order for you to view the website by name, you need to have a DNS record which will point to the ip of your IIS server. If you have a dns server you can point the url to that ip, if you dont have a dns server and want to map a name to the private ip , you will have to create an entry on the hosts file on each machine.

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

IP ADDR          hostname

If you have a dns server .. if it is bind, then you have the zone files inside /var/named/chroot/var/named , you just have to add an entry to the zone file to point to an IP address.

http://www.mylinuxguide.com/?p=5

might be of help to setup a zone file.
