Outlook IMAP setting from Exchange

Trying to set up a imap account for my boss,

I get this message:
Task "synchronizing hierarchy...' reported error (0x800CCC0e): ‘ could not fetch new headers on the folder (null) for account Error: unable to connect to server..”

i searched the internet but no luck!

Any thoughts?   outlook

    Create the following registry value to force Outlook to use PLAIN authentication:
    Value Type: STRING
    Value Name: EnableAuthMechanisms
    Value Data: PLAIN
