Want to setup a GPO to create a share in all servers with the same unc path windows 2008

I have about 50 servers in production all of which use the same path to store logs.  c:\logs
I would like to setup a quick access to all the servers \logs folder for our dev team by enabling RO access to the folder.  My initial thought was to create a GPO that will automatically share this folder for all servers then assign my "logshare" user account i created to have RO access to that folder.

thoughts on how to do this?  Maybe better ideas.

I found the network shares gpo optin under the preferences-windows settings section but have not used this before so wanted to check and leverage some experts.

You can try it the old school way. Make a cmd running at computer startup. Assign in with a GPO

@echo off
If not exist c:\logs mkdir c:\logs
(net share | find "logsharedfolder") && goto ShareExists
(net share logfiles=c:\logs /GRANT:COMPUTER_or_DOMAI\logshare,read) && goto ShareExists
pause
:ShareExists
net share | find /i "logsharedfolder"

I never used windows / preferences GPO settings to create shares, so can't help you with this one
