I have a Dell 2550 and RAID not showing up in the setup SCSI is my only option. The raid card has been comes up fine. My drives are booting up fine.

This server has not been powered  on in almost 2 years. In the past my experience with these servers is/l I had to go into the setup and change SCSI to RAID and all was good. Am I missing something?

Reseat the raid enabling chip and the raid memory then recheck the bios to see if raid can be enabled.

I would make several recommendations on this process too.

    1.Get backups
    2. Disconnect the harddrives as you make these changes
    3. Once you have it set to raid, power down, reseat the harddrives, power on

You don't want that change to overwrite the existing metadata on those drives. On a raid controller that old, that is a very real risk when you make that change.

If you've got any batteries in this machine, it might be a good idea to check them.  It sounds like you lost your settings.
