no, your password is not the problem...

Check the following:
1) You have "tnsnames.ora" file
2) You have 'path' variable point to the folder where 'tnsnames.ora' can be found

The 12154 is typically a problem with your tnsnames.ora file.

Check that it has an entry for diwp.  If so, do you have more than one Oracle product installed?

Each oracle install needs it's own tnsnames.ora or you need to set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to point to a common one.

Look in your tnsnames.ora file and make sure the host, port and service name specified are correct.

Also, look in your system path variables and make sure you have the oracle paths set.  The page below will help you out.  It doesn't sound like a password problem.  Good luck!

Now that I'm back on a real computer the issue is with the connect string you used:  @n1@diwp

You only use one '@' and what follows needs to be an entry in the tnsnames.ora file.

If the '@' is part of the password I believe you can use double quotes on the password.

Thanks Slightwv,

You got the real issue. I did same thing in the night time and issue was resolved.
