SQL SERVER 2008 - GDR 1617 - KB2494088 - Uninstall update

Can  GDR 1617  be uninstalled from SQL Server 2008?
Can   KB2494088 be uninstalled from SQL Server 2008?
If so could you describe the procedure?
I have been told yes and no, and "i dont know". :)
This is a production machine that cannot be down for long, of course.
This needs to be done to eliminate a small "Report Services" problem that appeared  with these updates, which may or may not have been caused by the update.

You can definitely uninstall the cumulative packages

How to uninstall the cumulative update package
To uninstall the cumulative update package, follow these steps:
In Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs.
Click Change or Remove Programs.
To see all the updates for the SQL Server 2005 installation, click to select the Show Updates check box.
Uninstall the cumulative hotfix package.
