I would like to build a jQuery Mobile app using VS 2010 on my laptop. Then I would like to download or install it on a mobile device. Initially this would not be a web app. It would need to run entirely from my mobile device, not from the web..

Is this possible? References?

Can the app be built on a laptop and copied to the mobile device?

Will it run without an internet connection?

    Assisted Solution

To run a javascript based framework application completely on a mobile device without internet connection you need a web server running on the mobile device.

There are some web server applications out there ( To find the right one, you need to know what the webserver should support: php?, sql etc..

BTW: there is also the JO framework and PhoneGAP
