USB Flash CDFS

I’m Look for an USB flash drive +16GB,
specifically need one with a CDFS partition.
i would also ideally want this drive to be encrypted, but for the encryption software not to be on the CDFS partition.
has anyone come across such a device?

I've not seen a CDFS partition as large as 16GB. Usually the CDFS partitions are very small.

But you can create CDFS partitions on USB flash drives if the USB flash drive controller supports CDFS partitions, if it already has a a CDFS partition, U3 do, then you are ready to go.

this manual and software allows you to Create CDFS and Enrypted Partitions

A list of vendors tools are here, which you can experiment with flash drives

Warning, you can write off your flash drive, using vendor tools to re-format, and setup.

This can be done with the older U3 SANDISK family, but you need to have been a developer (like me) to get the necessary OEM software to do it.  The mechanics of it, is that you burn an ISO image onto the USB, and the USB emulates a read-only CDROM (fully bootable), and free space appears as a R/W disk drive.  This is NOT partitioned, you see two different targets on the same device, not a funky partitioned drive with 2 file systems.

I am not aware of any other mechanism unless you are willing to buy a minimum OEM order in the 1000+ range.

(Unless I am missing something, those flashboot items partition a device, they do not change the emulation to CD and create a second read-only target ID.  Big difference if you expect to boot, and certainly if you want read-only.

Many thanks to you all.
found the Transend Biometric USB flash has CDFS.
been able to add hiren to the Virtual CD, retain the jetflash encryption and make both Auto run while Hiren is still bootable, so nice little drive ideal for this tech support solution.
Will use your info to look for other drives i can achive this with. Dont like the fingerprint reader on this one. on some PC's need to cut my finger off to get the angle to swipe.
Again MANY THANKS
