Can you give Raw partition to a  Citrix 6 (xen) vm guest  ??

i am trying use citrix just to see how it works

if any one has use cirix.. can you please tel me

can you give a raw partition to a vm ?


if i have /dev/sda1  

and i want to give it to vm1

willi  be able to do it from Citix Xen control center ??

From documentation , i thinnk i can.. but i need some help if any one use citrix xen before

    See this link, at the bottom, it shows you how to add local storage to a citrix xen.

    i found another one

    its saying..

    xe vdi-create sm-config:type=raw sr-uuid=687a023b-0b20-5e5f-d1ef-3db777ce7ae4 name-label="My Raw LVM VDI" virtual-size=8GiB type=user

    so type=raw

    this command is same as  what you put in your site ??

    yes it is , you should be able to do with the command in my site, i  did the same thing and it worked.
