Windows 7, Outlook 2010, Vmware View Linked Clones
I"m setting up Win7 linked clones on Vmware View 4.6 in a 2008 domain and am using Office/Outlook 2010.
I have the APPDATA folder redirected using GPO.
But whenever I setup the user, it automatically puts the PST and settings into the c:\users\%username%\AppDat a\Local folder, and of course that is not "app data" and so when the user logs off and the VM is refreshed... bye bye settings.
Unfortunately, we are using IMAP on a legacy email server and we are not running exchange.
Any thoughts on how to use GPO or reg settings on the golden image to force PST files to the redirected locations?

Are you not using persistent disks for this information, for the users?

No sir -- for the BEST HA/DR results, disposable disks with redirected data is the best solution. This is a floating pool.

Everything I have tried to do with the key above has not worked. I'm still in testing.
Export the registry key you set and post it please.
Did the Registry key work for you?

yes it did. Thanks!
