Optiplex 755 Desktop Processor Upgrade

I have a Optiplex 755 Desktop that currently has a E2160 CPU. Can anyone tell me with certainty what faster processor I can put in there? A Core 2 Duo would be plenty but I need to know for sure because once I buy the CPU I am sure it probably won't be returnable.

According to Dell's spec sheet - the 755 should be able to take any of the LGA775 processors.

I see someone from Dell who has an Optiplex 755 with a Q9550, but those may be difficult to come by.  The E8400 is also an upgrade, if you can find it.  You should update the BIOS to the latest version with the E2160 still in there.
