I'm having an issue connecting a user to our domain.  When I attempt to go into CHANGE on the Computer Name tab of Windows 7 home, it's greyed out.

How can I make sure the user connects to our domain?

You cannot connect Windows Home products to a domain.
Those services are disabled because they are not designed for business use.
You will need to upgrade the Home version to at least Professional before joining a domain.

    Accepted Solution

As the others above have mentioned, you can't add Windows 7 home to a domain, you  will need professional, Enterprise or Ultimate.

You won't have to einstall though, just run the windows anytime upgrade ( and you will be able to upgrade your version instantly without losing any data.
