alarm ack & disappear (how to) - VMware issue ?

hi there,

another question, is it possible to somehow sweep away all acknowledged alarms from VMware vCenter - from datastores, etc ..

using 4.1 now .. thanks

You can either Acknowledge them, or Disable the Alarms, by editing the Alarms, in the definitions.

ack is OK, but the alarm did not disappear .. even if the issue was solved, the alarm is still there - half year old, but still there :(

yup, vCenter ... but what about all running VMs ? will they continue to work ?

Yes, vcenter server restart don't affect virtual machine functionality, anyway before restart verify that there isn't any vmotion or snapshot activity in progress

restart will not work for me, there are permanently some moves, replicating, backups ...

but thanks guys, I'll try to run some tests on weekend ...

I see alert on LUN: datastore usage on disk - ack'd by user few months ago; mentioned LUN has free disk space something around 500GBs
