Add Exchange 2007 Mailboxes in Subdomain
Hi there,
We have a Server 2003 R2 domain controller at 2003 Functional Level - company-name.local
Whilst we hold out for our virtualisation project to kick in, I have been unable to upgrade these servers to 2008. We have an Exchange 2007 server within the top level domain, running or Server 2003 R2.
I have had to purchase a new DC for a new company acquisition to provide them with an AD infrastructure, but I am only able to install it will 2008 R2, it is configured as a subdomain - micro.company-name.local, it is at the 2003 Functional Level.
How can I tie Exchange 2007 into this DC so I can add a mailbox to a user in the subdomain?
I have seen on ome sites that I should domainprep the subdomain DC using the Exchange disc, however, I an unable to locate this on the downloaded ISO I have.
Could anyone advise on how to proceed?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like we're on the right track, but recieved this error when running, any ideas? Saw some issues regarding GC Placement, but have GCs in root and child domain.
Obviously its pointing to Server-DC02, anything I might need to check for?
