Port not forwarding... very strange (linux/networking)

Hi all,

Running Untangle for my network router, going to be switching to pfsense soon, but until then, I have an issue.

IP:
boo.yourtrap.com

port: 7000

Port forwarding seems to work, i was able to remote into the office from home using a different rule, but I cannot connect to the dvr!!!

(if you open  boo.yourtrap.com:7000/viewer_1 in ie you should be greeted with an authorization page.

Help me get this running!

Something that may be related:

I am unable to connect from work to home (inside the boo.yourtrap.com network, to my home)

Well I can, I try to connect via vnc, it connects, asks for a password, and then "closes unexpectedly"

even though everything is configured properly on the 2 machines. I have a feeling i'm going to pull my hair out

Haha got it, the default gateway was set to our old router.

Odd because it was working for a long time without the proper default gateway, somehow it just stopped working, i'd love to find out why
