Those errors to the VDS volume are because you didn't setup the server to access the EqualLogic group using the EqualLogic remote setup wizard. You need to do this to enable integrated snapshops using the EqualLogic tools. The error is otherwise cosmetic.

thanks for the help ! , i did not know about the tools , i was thinking that this had to do with the VDS virtual disk service runnning  but i am finding out that starting disk managment will start this service i am at a loss to attempt to find out what caused the server to hang and then blue screen

Go to www.equallogic.com and logon to the support site. Get the Host Integration Toolkit 3.5.1. You can also get the latest firmware for your EqualLogic. You should be on 5.0.8 or 5.1.1 H2. You should also be running SAN HQ if you don't already have it in your environment.

I don't either. Has this happened more than once? All I know is that you are running Windows 7 or 2008 R2. Are you running SP1?
