WINDOWS ADV.SERVER 2000

HAVE A problem with windows 2000 adv.SERVER. was working fine as a domain controller. and now several services are not starting and i can't seem to get them fixed. Error 1717 is the response to several of the services
this was the old "backup" domain controller but still was working for other functions,but not now...need to get it running again termporaily...
