Install Microsoft Office XP Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components
Hello,
After installing Delphi 2007 Win32 I installed package "Microsoft Office XP Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components" by placing a checkmark.
I didn't place a check in front of "Microsoft Office 2000 Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components".
I tried removing both packages from the list and install only dcl0ffice100.bpl, but each time after I restart the IDE they are both in the list and are both unchecked.
Any solution for this?

Hi,
Perfect, thank you.
For me the Disabled Packages were found in:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwar e\Borland\ BDS\5.0\Di sabled Packages]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWA RE\Borland \BDS\5.0\D isabled Packages]
In both keys I removed: $(BDS)\bin\dclofficexp100. bpl
Now it works again.

Basically you enter the Windows registry with f.e. Regedit.exe
Here you search for the two keys.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwar e\Borland\ BDS\5.0\Di sabled Packages]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWA RE\Borland \BDS\5.0\D isabled Packages]
In both keys I removed: $(BDS)\bin\dclofficexp100. bpl
If you have no experience with editing the registry, then I suggest you first make a full backup of your computer.
Hope this helps.

But I have the same behavior you describe with Delphi XE. I found that annoying to think of checking one before loading a project that needs it (because even the project-based package list does not retain these packages), but since I don't use that in many projects, I didn't tried to look for a solution.
Maybe someone else found one ? I'll try to dig, and I'm listening as well
