BGInfo

Hi,

I've placed the BGinfo.exe and BGinfo.bgi in the below location.

\\domain\sysvol\domain.com\scripts\BGInfo

I then created  GPO for logon to call up the batch file containing the below parameters.

\\domain\sysvol\domain.com\scripts\BGInfo\BGInfo.exe \\domain\sysvol\domain.com\scripts\BGInfo\BGInfo.bgi /TIMER:0 /silent /NOLICPROMPT

But, when the user logon into his pc, the BGInfo.exe appears with all its generatic selections. After few seconds, a nother screen from Windows will pop up saying that it cannot open the BGinfo.big file.

I'm not familiar creating script through VB so I've used a simply batch file with GPO from active directory, but it ain't working for me.

Appreciate any help.

First of all run BGInfo on your computer and prepare template. Set only these fields you want to populate on users desktop. After that click "File - Save As" and save BGI file. Put BGIInfo and BGI file together in NETLOGON share. Modify user logon scritp to

%LOGONSERVER%\NETLOGON\bginfo.exe %LOGONSERVER%\NETLOGON\BGIFILE.bgi /TIMER:0 /silent /NOLICPROMPT

shoudl work fine. Please, test it
