IPv6 DNS

I am looking to get some direction on how to enable my DNS servers to do IPv6.

Currently they are running DNS with IPv4 and all of those setting will have to remain in place.

Thanks.

Once your ethernet interface has an IPv6 address, if you're using bind, under options:

listen-on-v6 { PUT_YOUR_ADDRESS_HERE; };

Either you have IPv4 and IPv6 on the same interface (the next hop must also have them) and it's called dual stacked.

Or you have IPv4 on your ethernet interface and you have IPv6 on a virtual interface which is tunneled over IPv4 to a remote IPv6 destination.

You can use:-

listen-on-v6 { any; };
