In IIS Manager browse to FTP Firewall Support>Enter a range of values for the Data Channel Port Range and ensure that range is open on firewall

Hi,

Please share your FW configuration and make a small diagram explaining the architecture.

The Active Mode port is specified by the client.  You have no control over it.  The client will request that your server connect back to the client machine on a specified port.  Port 20 is the originating port on your machine but not the destination port on the other machine.  The destination port will probably be somewhere between 1024 and 65000.  The DOS command line FTP client uses only Active Mode.

The Passive mode port range is specified by your server.  You should configure a port range between 1024 and 65000.  The range should be at least as large as the maximum number of concurrent FTP connections you expect... probably twice as large.
