Outlook WebApp isnt working internal or External

We just installed a 2010 Exchange server, and I've noticed the internal Outlook Web App isnt working, if you go into the console and use the FQDN and paste in IE, you get a can do be displayed, but if you take out the long name and put ex https://server1/owa .. you at least get a long on screen, after you log in it throughs an error reading...

request couldnt be completed because no server with the correct security settings was found...

Now am I getting because I processed my CA cert?

Your request couldn't be completed because no server with the correct security settings was found to handle the request. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

Check under Application if you see any error / warning logs for OWA

The sign-in to Outlook Web App failed. User /o=WoodlandsPrep/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=jmcmahon has a mailbox on 0.0.7638.0 server version. However, no Client Access server or front-end server with a matching version was found to handle the request.

For users on Exchange 2003, you can configure the Outlook Web Access URL for redirection using the Exchange2003URL parameter on the Set-OwaVirtualDirectory cmdlet on the Exchange 2010 /owa virtual directory.

For users on Exchange 2007, you can configure the Outlook Web Access URL for redirection using the externalURL and internalURL parameters on the Exchange 2007 /owa virtual directory.

Did you configure Internal and External URl for OWA ?

Open EMc
> Server Config
> Client Access
> Select server on top
>select Outlook web app on bottom
right click properties

internal URL
https://mail.domain.local/owa
external
https://mail.domain.com/owa

Authentication
FBA  > chose your flavor
I have them as username only and I select the domain

Restart FBA service.

well, i though it was, it was a legency mailbox, I moved it to the 2010 database, which I thought means it would be on the 2010 box, but if I go into the properties of that mailbox it shows its still on the 2003 box, reason for my error?

ravenrx7Author Commented:

the mailbox move might have errored out. Cancel the move request and redo it.

Can you check if you can access OWA internal external for a mailbox in 2010

Check the link above, for FBA config on 2003

ok setup that on the 2003 box, restarted both IIS services, same results..

My submitted my cert to the CA today, this causing the issue? Since now Im forcing SSL?

sunnyc7Commented:
Nope
If you submitted your cert to CA - that cert is not yet applied.
This is a OWA issue.

Open EMC > toolbox > Run ExBPA
See what that dude comes up with.

I've gone though that link with the pre-eqs and selected the my correct OS 64bit 2008 R2 Sp1 and tried to apply those hotfixes and all of them say " this hotfix doesnt apply to your operating system"

I've opened a support ticket with Microsoft to figure out why my mail box role will not install

my main question do I need to run dcpromo on this new exchange 2010 r2 sp1 box?
0

sunnyc7Commented:
you dont need to run dcpromo
Infact you should never have your domain controller and exchange on the same box, unless its a pre-packaged solution like SBS -- which I am assuming is not what you have.
