ExchangeAdmin password for Exchange 2003

Hi Experts,

I have a question regarding Exchange 2003.
We need an account to install exchange 2010. We already have ExchangeAdmin, but don’t know the password. If we reset it, will this affect the current exchange 2003 environment?
I have never used this account and don’t think any services use it.
Please can you advise if it’s safe to reset the Exchange Admin password, or would it be best to create a new account.

Many Thanks,

I would play it safe and create a new account then disable the old one once you migrate everything over to the new server

>> You need a user account who is the schema and org admin. Check if the user ExchangeAdmin is a member of the group.
JohnGrunwell's steps are good.
