IE 8 built in "favorites" removal using GPO or registry hack

How do I remove the built in "Favorites" in IE 8?
They are
Favorite Bar
  -Webslice Gallery
Microsoft Websites
MSN websites
Windows Live

I need to be able to do this via GPO or registry hack.

    I found this link describing GOP settings and IE 8:

    Unfortunately, it only shows an option to turnoff the Favorites Bar.

    I have previously used this method for setting default user profiles, however it only works when the user is logging onto the domain for the first time:

    I will keep checking and post if I find something pertinent.
