performance issues with outlook 2007.
One cause is related to multiple pst files that are rather large.  However, its slow even when the pst files are not mounted.
I noticed certain addins in outlook 2007---are they needed?
Microsoft exchange server unified messaging (we're not using voicemail feature in our case)
Microsfot outlook mobile service
microsoft vba for outlook addin
redemption helper outlook extension.
can run outlook without these?

    Accepted Solution

you can run outlook without any add-ons as long as they are not needed. I am unsure of your setup but try disabling them all and see if the performance jumps! if so then put back only what is needed.

yea, thats what I did, but just wasn't clear of what some of those stood for?

Performance has gotten better---i'm also moving old pst files with large sizes to new pst files and deleting the old pst. That is helping with the space aswell.
