Raid 1 with four drives

Is it possibile to have Raid 1 with four drives, and i mean not like AB CD but as ABCD.

Or does Raid 1 work only in pairs of two?

    normally ..

    if you put 4 disk it automatially  take Raid 1 + 0

    which is Raid 10

    but if you use 2 disk. it will take raid 1 .

    Yes, you can do this with several operating systems, including linux, solaris, hp/ux, and AIX.   a 4-way raid1 is not all that uncommon, especially if  you want to take a snapshot.

    Heck, you could build a 4-way RAID1 with just one disk if you really wanted to.
