Has anyone had any experience with setting up Blackberry Enterprise Server Express on a separate box to the rest of the services?

Anyone know where doc's are for doing this?

I am not sure you can do this on Express - I know you can do it on BES.

When running setup, do you have the option of installing remote components? If so, then install the BAS first which will create the database and the BES and other components after that.

I've setup two servers dedicated to BESX on Windows 2003 std & enterprise as member servers. They each communicate with the Exchange servers in the Windows server in each network. It runs fine.
