ISP connectivity

Afternoon all,
I have an Interesting client, the are moving away from the ISP and thought the best way to do this would be by not paying the bills. Lines were dropped last week, replacement virgin was not in place (wasnt expected by us) so they cleared the outsranding balance and put the old ADSL lines back on.

We are now having the follwoing issues
1) Copper by BT
2) New company now supply lines
3) Old company supply the ADSL

The network is 1/2 back up and running, i have vpn access into the netrwork and site to site vpn is working, email is flowing in and out. they can access google but nothing else.

they can ping 212.58.246.91 (BBC.co.uk)
they can ping 209.85.147.106 (google.com)

but not 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 (google)
ping www.google.com will not resolve
ping www.bbc.co.uk will not resolve

I am hoping i have not missed somthing simple, any pointers?

Many thanks,

I set a machine on the network to use 8.8.8.8 but that still did not resolve the problem
What was the result of the traceroutes?
To use 8.8.8.8 for what?  Is that the IP address of a DNS server?

It seems that the Draytek router was to blame. When the conenctions failed over to a line DNS resolution dropped
