TSM Backup for SQL says completed but No logs for completion

In Cluster setup, when taking SQL Database backup using TDP SQL, we are getting error ANR2579E with Return code 402. But there is no log found in TSM logs as to why this error occurred...

The error code 402 is for the following message:
"The process is already in background processing mode."

Are you trying to command a new backup when you get this error?
If yes, than I suspect that the previous backup process is either hanging or incomplete when you issue the current backup command.

You might want to deal with that process at OS level before you continue attempt to issue a the next backup command.

I always recommend that you create SQL backup jobs to backup SQL server databases to a backup location on your server, then use TDP to backup the backup folder (where your SQL backups are) instead of trying to use shadow copy backup method with TDP.

Windows shadow copy of the SQL database files will complete but if your databases are quite volatile, you may get an inconsistent image that you may not be able to use upon restoring from your backups on your storage manager.

Therefore do not configure TDP to backup SQL database files directly.
