one pc has problem loading network printer driver - not all

The majority of pc's on our network are XPSP3.  One PC is giving error: "The server for the Xerox WorkCentre PCL6 printer does not have the correct printer driver installed.  If you want to search for the proper dirver, click OK.  Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or original equipment manufacturer for the correct printer driver."  It has the same OS as other PCS which are not having a problem loading the driver.  I'm even logged in as administrator.  Any ideas?

Are you logged on as a local Administrator or Domain administrator?  Is this computer a member of the domain?

This error can occur when a permission is not allowing the computer to access the printer drivers.....

Stop spooler service,

delete the print controls from the following registry location,
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\(Printname)

and start the spooler service again. restart the computer and try to connect the printer.

Post back the results.

i could not find the exact registry record u listed, but finally to fix I did the following:
deleted all occurrences of Xerox in the registry
stopped spooler and deleted all occurences of printer drivers
deleted all profiles on the PC except the admin

some combination of the above fixed it.  I think both of you pointed me to the solution
in a way, so I'll share.

thanks.
