exchange server  in sbs2000

Please can anyone help in SBS2000 and Exchange server email is downloaded using pop3 to each individuals account. Everyone is working fine except for one individual suddenly today his email is downloaded from his pop3 account but it is not arriving in his mailbox.  If I redirect his email to another exchange user it arrives!
Internal emails sent to this user DO arrive only external emails do not.

I forgot to mention internal mail to this user works perfectly

first of all, why are you downloading using POP3?

secondly, if you open Outlook Web Access for the mailbox you are having a problem with do the messages appear in the mailbox?

No email is received in OWA.

We use pop3 because there is one domain and three SBS Servers one in each office, domain mail is sorted in the cloud to individual pop3 accounts and then downloaded by the exchange server direct to each user. The system has been working without any problems for 4 years.

Only one user is affected by this problem.

When you forward the mail to another mailbox how are you doing this?

The download pop3 mail for this user  is now downloaded to the administrators account with a rule to forward a copy to the user

Can you just confirm how you are configured as it's very confusing.

Your SBS server downloads using a POP3 connector, correct?

How do your users then download the mail from the Exchange Server?

The pop3 connector of exchange server downlloads the email to each individual users account within exchange server.The users access the email via MS Outlook 2002  connected ONLY TO the exchange server.

close outlook and try using OWA to see if they receive the message (making sure outlook is closed)

Check the email address of the user that is having problems, is it correct? What if you add another email address and try sending to that does it work?

Tried using OWA with no result.
Will try tonight when the user goes home to create a new account and forward his email to that account and see if it  works.
