RemoteApp will not print - although it acts like it is

Hi, we are connecting to a Server 2008 R2 remote app. When we connect the local printers are installed and redirected as expected. The printers are pretty standard (and installed on the remoteapp server) and the drivers are included with Server 2008. Everything looks right about the printers from the remoteapp, we can see properties and change settings. But when we go to print, it shows that it is sending the job to the printer, but nothing ever comes out and no errors are generated.  Doesn't matter if they are redirected printers or network printers already installed on the App server....  just nothing....

Have you checked the client printer spool on the server itself?  Although it's a client printer, the printer still shows up on the server that the client is connected to. Do any jobs show up at all?

From the server end, what happens when you try to send a test print to the client printer?

What happens when you run the client application directly on the server (i.e. not through RDP) and try to print - does that work?

Is the print spooler service running or has it crashed?  Despite it being a client printer, the print spooler service is still used on the server.

Has the server run out of disk space? You need free disk space to spool jobs.

Yes, they all work via console or even through RDP - just not through RemoteAPP.   Its a new server with over 1tb of free space....

RemoteApp has the ability to turn into a .RDP file - if you turn it into a .RDP file and run that, rather than run the app through the RDWeb site, does the printing work?  This is for testing purposes only, not a solution.

You need to select the application from the RemoteApp Programs list in order to be able to click one of them.
