Any advise for a good photo labeler that can be use in MAC?

Dear EE experts,

Any advise or suggestions for a good photo labeler that can be use in MacBook?
We're using program from FastStone, but found out that it can be use in PC only & no for MAC.
So, do u have any suggestions of softwares that will work similar to FastStone, can label photos by batch, not only label but do such effects with photos by batch.
*For FREE only.
Thank you in advance!

Can Photoscape be installed in Mac OS? And does it have an image label feature, that will do it by batch?
I don't think GIMP can do it by batch, can it do?

You can do batch phot resizing in
OSX Preview - http://www.tiptrickmod.com/mac/why-preview-is-the-best-batch-photo-resizer-for-mac/
OSX Automator - http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2010/01/batch-resize-images-with-automator.html

For a list of all the OSX photo/image resize applications try MacUpdate
http://www.macupdate.com/find/mac/Photo%20resize

However the best tools on OSX cost a few $$
EasyBatchPhoto - http://yellowmug.com/easybatchphoto/
SizeRox - http://www.sizerox.com
ResizeMe - http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/27899/resizeme

My Bad, so far there are no Download available for Mac OS.
I think the only way to install it is by installing a Windows on a Mac machine [virtual]

I used GIMP on my Ubuntu, but still I switched over to Windows to used PS hehehe,
but haven't check if there was an Automate control similar to PS.

@eoinosullivan: Thank you for your response, however, we're not just looking for a photo resizer, but we're looking primarily for a program that can create a label onto the image. Like the FastStone program. But they only have for Windows, no for Mac. FastStone has the features that you can put text onto the image or watermark. That's what we're looking for...

Hope to hear again soon...

For Watermarking have you looked at ..
DropWatermark - http://www.dropwatermark.com/
StarWatermark - http://www.star-watermark.com/
iWatermark - http://www.plumamazing.com/mac/iwatermark

None of them are FREE so you should try the 3 of them out and see which is worth spending a few $$.

The program EasyBatchPhoto (http://yellowmug.com/easybatchphoto/) which I listed already also does Watermarking and is probably the best all-round image resize, reformat and watermark utility.

So the EasyBatchPhoto isn't free as well, right?

Correct .. EasyBatchPhoto isn't FREE.

However you can download and try it out to see if it meets your needs.

The only other options are to use full photo editors such as GIMP - http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/
There are plug-ins for GIMP which allow batch processing and include watermarking.

Personally I dislike the GIMP interface and find many of the plugins a bit messy to install and limited however if $$ is a critical factor then GIMP is about your only FREE option on OSX.
