Windows Service wont start under Intellex Archive Manager

Difficult one to answer without knowing how the software works but worth a shot.

We have a Intellex CCTV system and we run Intellex Archive Manager Application that archives this video to Windows Storage Server 2008 based attached storage.  The archive manager software is simply installed on a XP workstation.  The Archive Manager has recently stopped working due to the fact that the Windows Service the Archive Manager is running under won’t start despite working for months.  The service needs domain admin rights and full access to the NAS devices which it has.  If I create another account with the same permission I get the same problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Is the storage server connected to domain?  do you have enterprise admin and domain permission to create a new account same as nas box has? if so, why dont you reset the password instead of creating new one
