Dear Members,
Could you please tell me in which situation exchange database dismounts? Please help me with Event ID’s too.
I know some scenarios:
1.      Whenever the disk size filled.
2.      Whenever the database exceeds its limit
3.      Whenever the Tlogs limit reaches 1024.

Other than these when will database dismounts?

Depending on the version of Exchange you have, the mailstore will dismount if it hits a linmit like the 16 gig limit in 2003 w/o SP2 and registry update. With those, it can expand to 75 gig.

All this depends on your server having plenty of free disc space and memory available.

Database dismount can occur in many scenarios.

Mainly this depends on Exchange services, database sizes, log file corruption, Hardware failures, Antivirus scannings etc.
You can use eseutil/mh to see wether the database which was dismounted is in a clean state or in a dirty state.
If its in a clean state you can mount it, if not you have to do a soft repair and if dont works you have to perform a hard repair, which is a time taking process.
