Sonicwall over FIOS

New FIOS install.  Verizon installed ethernet cable from ONT to their Actiontec.
I would like to  take the Actiontec out  and replace it with a Sonicwall TZ-100.
I have done this by plugging the ethernet from the ONT into the WAN port on  the Sonicwall.  The  wan setting is DHCP.
I am unable to get a WAN ip address.
I have released, refreshed to no  avail.  Restarting Sonicwall also no help.
What am I doing wrong or what should I do?
Thanx

You cannot remove the fios supplied router. Just leave it in place and connect the Sonicwall WAN port to the ethernet LAN port on the router. Set the WAN port of the Sonicwall using the GW, DNS and ip information supplied by Verizon. If you don't have a fixed ip, then use the DHCP settings.

Actually carlmd, you can remove the fios supplied router.
I set the Sonicwall to DHCP for the wan (static was not purchased) and had FIOS tech support reset the line.
All is golden.

Configuring network clients can be a chore, especially if there are a large number of them or a lot of itinerant users.  DHCP dynamically manages this process, much to the relief of users and administrators alike!
