I reinstalled XP on a couple computers on our SBS 2003 domain, I redirected My documents to our Server and after that I lost the ability to turn off Offline files, it is greyed out. I also lost ability to redirect the My Document folder, the buttons have been removed.
I read several posts on Experts Exchange. I Then changed the Group Policy on the Server as follows:
Open up the Server Management Console > Advanced Management > Group Policy Management > Forest: Yourdomain.local > Domains > Yourdomain.local > Group Policy Objects.
First, be sure to back up all your GPO's.
Then, right click the Small Business Server Folder Redirection Group Policy Object and select Edit.
Open User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network/Offline Files > and the last item should be "Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline". Change that to "Enabled".
Close the editor and then open a command prompt and enter GPUPDATE /Force
Logged off the local machines, logged back on. The blue arrows indicating Offline files is gone but still cannot redirect and the Offline files is checked on and greyed out. Please advise.
