When is the best time to use a Multiview in your aspx page verses a seperate user control?

In anyone's (someone's) opinion, when is the best time to use a multiview control in your aspx page verses imbedding a user control? What are the advantages/disadvantages of either scenario? And what should/could one use to determine which way is best? Just curious...
