I am using the serialport control in c# 2008 and using the datareceived event to read any data comming from the control.  How can I cancel the datareceived event?  If I am receiving a large amount of data and need to close the port, I want to stop receiving data before I call the serialport1.close() method, so the gui won't lock up.
