MXToolbox vs other email "proxy" solutions
We are running an exchange server that we are not planning to outsource or stop hosting internally. However we have had several problems with redundancy and continuity that have me looking for alternative solutions. One such solution offered by MXToolbox is to use their servers to send and receive mail that is automatically forwarded to and from our exchange server. They also Cache 30 days or so of email so that if a disaster strikes for any reason on our end, thier servers will continue to process email send/receive and give our users all their recent messages sent and received while we address whatever issue has come up.
My question is, has anyone ever used this service and is there anything similar out there (maybe via google apps etc...) I am going to be implementing something over the next 30-60 days hopefully to take care of these problems once and for all.

Have a look at Google Message Continuity. It's half price or less compared to Google Apps (depending on whether you are using postini) and allows you to switch to Google Apps if your server goes down for any reason. Essentially, it's the gmail product providing redundancy for your email/calendar/contacts, intended precisely for the situation you describe.
