vmware fusion host ip address or name

Hi,
I have VMware Fusion 4.0 running Windows 7x64 Boot Camp hosted on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Network is "Bridged" mode. Can ping host OS if I know its IP address but its IP address is assigned by DHCP and therefore changes. Is there a name I can use in VMware that will resolve to the IP address of the host OS? What I need is something like this:

ping vmware-host
  ... pinging 10.10.10.222 ...

Thanks

have you tried using the name of the host?

Ah, that's it ... somehow my computer name went from OrignalName to OriginalName-2 ...
So in VMware fusion
ping originalname-2
  works
but
ping originalname-2.local
doesn't work (not that this matters ... I just expected it to because host is a Mac)
Anyway, thanks for the quick answer!

Thanks ... your answer very quickly led to the solution (my Mac's network name had changed somehow and using the new name works in the VMware client).
