How to convert c# object to EDI string. I have c# object that need to be converted to 276 request string. Are there any open source .net tools for that?
Right now I am planning to take 276 string and plugin to that string the values from .net obj? Is this approach ok?

Thank You

Unless the EDI document structure you need to create has a very simple structure, I recommend to use a more robust and proven approach.

For creating EDI documents based on C# objects, use Altova Mapforce (or a similar product with the same functionality):
    1. Generate XML schema for the C# class using "XML Schema definition tool" -
    2. Generate C# transformation from the class XML schema to X12 EDI document using  Altova Mapforce (Mapforce can generate C#/Java code based on visual mappings define in it's studio)
    3. In your application, use the C# code generated by MapForce in order to convert the C# object data to EDI document
