A data center (or data centre or datacentre or datacenter) is a facility used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls (e.g., air conditioning, fire suppression) and security devices.

Hi

I have already read that definition from wiki. Is that possible to give an answer by taking a real time example so that I can understand it better,

It is a (usually) big room with air-conditioning and UPS and fire safety precautions. It is locked and only allowed personal can enter the room, and in that room you have racks, and in those racks servers, storage systems, Switches, patch panels, routers, firewalls etc. Often the rack space is hired out to customers so their servers are hosted in that secure environment. Some will also offer to do the server management and rent the server, and some allow the customer to to have physical access to the servers they have. ISP's often also have such datacenters.
