OpenManage Server Administrator SMTP Settings not working
I have several servers that are configured with Dell OpenManage Server administrator and I'm trying to configure the SMTP server settings. I have a relay configured for the IP range on an Exchange Server in a different domain in the same rack with the equipment I'm trying to send the emails from. I know the relay is working because I have another application that it works just fine for on the same server and several others. What am I missing with the limited OpenManage SMTP settings?
I get the error:
The e-mail message was not sent to the recipient: firstname.lastname@example.org. E-mail address may be invalid or SMTP server setup may be invalid.
Is OpenManage trying to authenticate when it doesn't need to? Any suggestions appreciated.
