Greetings, Experts!

Here is my problem:

This site has two domains, we will call them "" and "". Both new and old domains have their own DNS. What is the best practice to have the new DNS be able to look up entries in the old DNS server?

    Accepted Solution

Several ways (conditional forwarders, stub zones, zone transfers).  I'd personally go with conditional forwarders

So on teh DNS boxes you would create a conditional forwarder for and point to those old DNS servers.

I agree - go with conditional forwarder which is most efficient and scalable mechanism
