DNS question

Greetings, Experts!

Here is my problem:

This site has two domains, we will call them "new.net" and "old.net". Both new and old domains have their own DNS. What is the best practice to have the new DNS be able to look up entries in the old DNS server?

Several ways (conditional forwarders, stub zones, zone transfers).  I'd personally go with conditional forwarders

http://msmvps.com/blogs/ad/archive/2008/09/05/how-to-configure-conditional-forwarders-in-windows-server-2008.aspx

So on teh new.net DNS boxes you would create a conditional forwarder for old.net and point to those old DNS servers.

Thanks

Mike

I agree - go with conditional forwarder which is most efficient and scalable mechanism
