The &quot;Smart Array E200i Controller on System Board&quot; on our HP ProLiant ML350 G5 running Windows Server 2003 is reporting the Accelerator battery status as having failed and that the Accelerator is disabled.<br />

The server is still operating however we notice there seems to be delays opening files. Is this due to that failed battery disabling the accelerator? Thanks. (I've got a replacement battery but have never replaced one.)

Smart Array Failed Battery

Servers are computing devices that are similar to desktop computers in that they have the same basic components, but are significantly different in size, configuration and purpose. Servers are usually accessed over a network, and many run unattended, without a computer monitor, input device, audio hardware or USB interfaces. Many servers do not have a graphical user interface (GUI), and are configured and managed remotely.
