lost windows server 2008 r2 windows password

Dear Sir
i have installed my dl 380 server with windows server 2008 r2 , and lost its password after putting it back from domain to workgroup
kindly advice

The easiest way is to download this, burn it to CD and boot so you can reset the local admin password.

There are lots of third-party tools out there to allow you to do this; some of them are even free.  If you have access to Microsoft’s Software Assurance program you could try the Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (DART) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee460920.aspx.

If you are desperate to get the machine up and running and don’t immediately need access to anything encrypted on the box, you can just install Windows a second time into a different directory. You will have access to all the files of the previous installation; just don’t overwrite the original Windows installation during the Windows setup.
This will allow you to boot up the original Windows installation at a later time, should you remember your password later.

If you follow the link for DART, you'll see that:
Support was added for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and support was removed for all older operating systems
As you're on 2008 R2 it should be fine...
