Migration to 2011

How long should it take to transition from an SBS 2003 server to an SBS 2011 server? With all new server hardware. I understand that the Backup depend on size of data backing up, so asside from the backup roughly how long? I found the Microsoft SBS migration paper, that gives a step by step instruction, but i don't really know what kinda time frame i'm looking at.

Very hard to estimate since each setup is so unique, but if the new server is properly spec's...you should get done over a weekend

Over a weekend is what im planning on, i was just hoping to get a rough idea of hours spent. 10 to 15 hours is my guess, but i was hoping to confirm that before starting.

It's always best to plan for the worst and hope for the best.  The worst thing you can do is plan something else for the same weekend/evening.   Guaranteed to go bad.

16 hours is probably a solid estimate, but make sure you've done all the pre-requisite checks on SBS 2003 and it's super clean.   Ask questions before the migration, not after you have errors/issues
